Giveaway Contest :: 2012 Engagements

This year, our first official year as Birds of a Feather Photography, has been more than we ever imagined it could be. There are many people to thank for that... too many to name in one blog post. However, we thought we'd start with the couples who have gotten to know us, welcomed us into their lives, and trusted us with the task of documenting their wedding days. Most of our couples chose to have engagement photos taken, and we got to know them even better during their sessions. We wouldn't be looking ahead to such a full 2013 calendar of AMAZING couples if we weren't so blessed to have met these Brides and Grooms to be. So we're saying Thank You with this fun, end of the year contest. One winning couple will receive a custom designed book of their favorite engagement photos. Yay!

The winning couple will receive an 8x8 linen album with thick pages perfect for guests to sign at the couple's wedding reception. The layout design will include blank spaces for guests to leave their well wishes, old school yearbook style ;)

Here's how it's going to work. Each 2013 couple who has done an engagement session with us in 2012 is eligible for the contest. The couple with the most votes... wins. Rather simple right? So how do you vote? Great question. Voting will be done on our Facebook page. We have created a photo album of the eligible couples on our Facebook page. Each couple has one photo representing them in said album. A "vote" is a comment below the couple's photo. A "vote" will only count once per person, so no, you can't leave 600 comments... well you could but you'd still only get one vote out of it. Here's the tricky part. Are you ready? No vote will count unless the person voting has also liked our Facebook page.... so make sure to like our Facebook page before leaving your comment/vote. Once the contest is over, we will go back through every comment left under each photo, confirm that the person who has left each comment is also a fan of our Facebook page (or in other words they've "liked" the page itself), then we'll tally all of the comments up and announce the winners on New Year's Eve.

The contest will run today, December 18th through December 28th. You've got ten days to spread the word, and get your family and friends to like our page, then vote by leaving a comment under their favorite couple's photo.

To summarize, this is how you vote:

1.Go to our Facebook Page

2.Like our Facebook Page

3.Click on the Photos tab under our cover photo

4.Click on the Albums tab in the top right

5.Click on the album titled "Engagement Book Giveaway Contest"

6.Find your favorite couple's photo

7.Click on their photo to open it

8.Leave a comment under their photo (this can be as simple as "I'm voting!" or "We love you! Congrats!")

9. You're done!
